Admission to B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.), B.Sc.
(Home Science), M.Sc. Ag., M.Sc. (Home Science) and Ph.D, (Agriculture) programme
are being taken through a competitive entrance examination during
May-June every year. The academic session of all the courses starts in
July-August.

Jurisdiction: The University is dedicated
to the development of agriculture and animal husbandry in 28 districts of
5 divisions (Allahabad, Agra, Jhansi, Kanpur and Lucknow) spread in the
three-agroclimatic zones (South-western semi-arid, Bundelkhand and the
Central plains) of Uttar Pradesh. Agricultural and rural sector researches
were recognized by placing greater emphasis on production oriented, reed
based and problem solving projects with no let down in the mission
oriented fundamental and strategic researches of high order.
Lab Facilities: Every department of each
College has separate labs for UG and PG, besides the Central
Instrumentation Lab for accessible to all the research students.
Scholarships, Aids and Awards: The
University receives specific funds for giving financial assistance to the
students, who have good academic records and are getting good grades in
the examination. To the indigent students belonging to schedule and
backward classes, the University provides a number of stipends, free ships
and scholarships. Financial assistance for postgraduate studies is also
available to deserving cases from ICAR, State Government and other sources
Sports: DSW is organizing the games and
sports activities of the University. From time to time the teams of the
University are participating in tournaments conducted by AIU. University
conducts the activities of games and sports with the help of councilors of
various games and game president. The councilor and games president is
nominated among the faculty members who have attained excellency and
proficiency in specific game during their student period. |
